Ever since 2015, the GCA scholarship has been funded through the Art Fair and donations.

Since the first Scholarship was awarded in 1997 we have had forty one Grandmont Scholars that have received this award. Last year we did not have an Art Fair so that source of funding was not available.

The GCA scholarship is our community’s recognition of those young high school seniors that have done well in high school and who are going on to college. They must also demonstrate community service by volunteering their time in the community. I would encourage all that are able, to consider a donation to this year’s scholarship fund. Whatever amount you can afford would go a long way in supporting this worthwhile program. We are the only community organization in the city of Detroit that offers a scholarship to our children who have demonstrated academic ability and community service.

Please help us continue with this program, our youth is our future. Cora Duncan-Foster is our scholarship chair.

We would appreciate whatever amount you could afford. Checks should be made payable to GCA with Scholarship on the memo line. You may drop them off at Cora Duncan-Foster’s home.
