The Art Fair Committee plans, organizes, advertises, contacts vendors, solicits entertainers, and coordinates community volunteers beginning in June and continuing until the annual Art Fair date. The Arts and Crafts Fair is held inside Douglas Ramsay Memorial Park (located on Longacre Street between Grand River & Ray Monnier). Jomo King
Jomo King is an Event Planning Consultant who brings a high level of professionalism to the Grandmont Community Association as Art Fair Director. He has been a proud resident of the Grandmont community since 2008 and is one of the Block Captains of Longacre Street.
In 2009, he established NING Society Events as an avenue for mature working professionals to network and be entertained in a safe environment. Since the inception of NING Society, Mr. King has integrated events that are focused on family and community outreach. He has successfully built partnerships with community leaders, faith-based organizations, exhibitors and resource agencies to give back to the community. Determined to be set apart and prepared to take his talent to the next level, Mr. King obtained his Event Planning Certification in December 2012 from Schoolcraft College. When he is not planning events, he enjoys spending time with his three beautiful daughters, family and friends. Some of his favorite pastimes include his love for rare and exotic tropical fish, scary movies and working with youth.
