Your 2022 Grandmont Community Association Board Candidates:
I am a 20-year resident of the Grandmont Community. Most of my adult life, I have had a heart for service. This past year, I have been involved in assisting in several of our community efforts. I serve on the Youth and Education Committee, the Safety/Security Committee and I am the street captain for Longacre. I love our community and the wonderful work that is done to sustain our beautiful area. I am encouraged by the vibrance in our neighborhood and I look forward to doing my part to help support and sustain it.
I have lived in the Grandmont Community with my husband, Philip for 38 years. Presently, I am the Grandmont Board of Directors Vice-President, Grandmont Patrol #4 Treasurer, a Longacre Block Captain (approx. 15 years), Scholarship Chair (approx. 10 years), GCA Rippling Hope Chair, Rippling Hope State Board Secretary, Grandmonitor Editor’s Team Member, & Youth and Education Committee Member. My goal as an elected Grandmont Board of Director is to continue to communicate, interact and develop tactics with Street/Block captain providing connectivity with the GCA Board. Also, I will vote on community concerns that are important to Grandmont Residents.
I am a candidate for the Grandmont Community (GCA) Board for the 2022-2024 term. While working, and into retirement, I have been on numerous GCA Committees including Environmental/Code Enforcement and am presently the Rutland Street Captain. In addition, I represent Grandmont on the GRDC Vacant Property Task Force Committee (VPTF) that identifies owners of vacant properties and works toward communicating owner responsibility and maintenance obligations and blight prevention. I am running for the GCA board to continue to build on our strengths and improve neighbor participation in our neighborhood association. I will work toward the goal of increasing membership and new or current neighbor involvement and communication.
I am a candidate for the Grandmont Community (GCA) Board for the 2022-2024 term. Over several years I have served in many appointed, elected, volunteer and wage positions both. Currently, I am a GCA Board Member serving as Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee. The Treasurer is entrusted with oversight functions of keeping the books, writing checks, providing historical and legacy guidance, and reconciling the financial institution statements received with Board properly approved dispersal and receipt of Member dues to the GCA. I ask of you your evaluation of all candidates and request your consideration of my qualifications and that you vote for me, Robert Patterson to continue, on the GCA Board.
Edward Smith is a long-time Grandmont Community Association resident. Ed currently serves on the GCA board. Ed has served on the GCA board for many years as Ramsay Park’s Committee Chair, he’s volunteered on the Beautification/Garden Club Committee, Youth & Education Committee and more. More importantly, Ed takes pride and being the “gate keeper’ of Ramsay Park. He ensures the park is safe and clean for all residents and their family to enjoy. Edward Smith loves his Grandmont Community and is seeking re-election to the Grandmont Community Association Board.
